The Archaeological Digital Initiative

Scott Ure and Mike Searcy have directed the Archaeological Digital Initiative (ADI) since 2015. It is a project-based consortium of students and faculty across campus, including students from anthropology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, and computer science. ADI projects are focused on making all aspects of the archaeological process more efficient and streamlined. They also work to incorporate new technologies into the field of archaeology, some that they design and develop alongside students. To see both past and current projects, visit the ADI website.
