The department hires students for various positions with the goal of providing employment that expands students' experiences. We hire numerous teaching assistants each semester, especially for our introductory courses. Faculty also hire majors and graduate students as research assistants to work on various projects.

The museum is an excellent resource for students interested in museum studies, public outreach, or artifact focused research. Positions include education specialists, promotion specialists, curation assistants, archivists, graphic designers, and administrative assistants. Students can also volunteer at the museum. Volunteering is a great way to get acquainted with the staff and help you start gaining experience for future employment opportunities.
