The department hires students for various positions with the goal of providing employment that expands students' experiences. We hire numerous teaching assistants each semester, especially for our introductory courses. Faculty also hire majors and graduate students as research assistants to work on various projects.

The museum is an excellent resource for students interested in museum studies, public outreach, or research focused on the many artifacts curated there. Positions include education specialists, curation assistants, archivists, graphic designers, and administrative assistants. Volunteering at the museum is a great way to get acquainted with the staff and the many opportunities for employment.
