Dr. Crandall is an Africanist who has studied the Ova Himba of Southern Africa since 1988 and has continued his study of the Ova Himba as modernity becomes ever present among the tribe. He has been focused on the Ova Himba women's lives, roughly between twenty and thirty years of age.
